This year at Tech I had to move into a new apartment. It is one street over from my old one and about the same except my room is smaller now! Finally, after all the frustration of moving out and moving in, I feel pretty settled into the new place. It is still the ghetto and in some ways worse than Stadium (we didn't have blinds on our windows when we moved in!). I'm sure Stadium Apartments will be torn down soon to make way for the new "luxury condos" for the rich alumni. Anyway, here are some picture of my new place now that it is decorated, it feels more homey:)
This past weekend was my sister's wedding. It was a lovely day and everyone had a good time (or at least I think they did!). Well since Barbara, is busy on her honeymoom right now I will go ahead and put up a few pictures from the wedding. I'm sure she will write on her vox page about the experience soon.
This past weekend Brandon and I spent Saturday with his family at their place along the Potomac River. They prepared delicious food and threw us a wonderful engagement party. It was the first time our extended families met and I think it went very well. I hope they all liked each other! I love spending time with the family and can't wait to spend many more occasions as part of his family! Here are some pictures from the trip.
I have been so busy this summer with all the events surrounding my sister's wedding and traveling around. My sister's bridal shower that I hosted went very well. I'm putting up a couple pictures from that party. Then I spent the 4th of July in Richmond with Brandon and Travis. It was a nice trip and a good time catching up with Travis. This weekend I'm off to visit Texas for the first time for yet another bridal shower!
It has taken me some time to get this post up so sorry about that! I've made it home from Greece fine. There were a few issues in transit home like my luggage being too heavy that they men loading the plane might have refused to load it (they didn't, thank God!) and getting fined 1200 Euros for my expired visa but that expires after 4 years and I doubt I'll be returning to Greece before then. All in all it was a pretty good trip back and I am so happy to be back in the USA! I've been eating tons of food here- all the things I've been craving for 4 months, enjoying driving again and getting caught up with everyone I've missed for 4 months.
This is the end of my time in Greece. I will be back in the States in 5 days! I've been going around taking some final pictures of the city and making sure I haven't forgotten any presents for anyone. Now that the weather has cleared up Kristin and I are going to the beach tomorrow for one final day in the sun before we head back home. I'm still without a power cord so I have some technical difficulties but I will write again when I get back to Virginia!
This will probably be my last blog entry from Greece. My computer charger is no longer working and I am able to borrow another Dell charger every once in a while to get on occasionally. It is only 12 days until I am back in the US though! I am going to miss the girls from here so much, but I'm excited to be back home. I'll write again and post the final pictures from Thessaloníki when I get back!
I had my final trip in Greece this weekend. Andrea, Erin, Kristin and I went to the beach in Hanoiti, Halkidiki. It was a really fun area with tons of restaurants and shops. The beach was nice, but not nearly as nice as the island beaches. We had a pool at our hotel, which is where we spent a lot of time. It was a wonderful vacation before we all get started studying for exams and then heading back to the States. I’m really going to miss those girls when we all go home!
